The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. The winners of the league each season plays a best-of-seven series against the bottom team of the NL, and if they win, they are promoted, while the National League team is relegated to the Swiss League.
Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was formerly called National League B. The league attendance in 2018–19 was about 2,700 spectators.
Elveția - NLB este cel de-al doilea eșalon al hocheiului pe gheață din Elveția, după National League (NL). Liga a fost fondată în 1947 ca Nationalliga B (NLB) și a fost redenumită în Swiss League în 2017.
Liga este formată din 12 echipe care joacă un sezon regulat de 52 de meciuri. Primele opt echipe din clasament se califică pentru play-off, în timp ce ultimele două echipe sunt retrogradate în Swiss Regio League.
Campioana NLA primește Cupa Elvețiană.
Cele mai de succes echipe din istoria NLB sunt HC Lugano (8 titluri), HC Ambrì-Piotta (7 titluri) și HC Servette Genève (6 titluri).
