Wikipedia - CONCACAF Caribbean Cup
The CONCACAF Caribbean Cup is an annual football competition for clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). Beginning with the inaugural tournament in 2023, the new competition will serve as qualification to the CONCACAF Champions Cup for clubs from the region. The tournament is the successor to the Caribbean Club Championship which ran from 1997 to 2022.
The top three clubs from the Caribbean Cup will qualify for the Champions Cup, with the winner entering the round of 16 and second and third-place finishers entering in round one.
History
In September 2021, CONCACAF announced that beginning in 2024, the CONCACAF Champions League would be expanded from 16 to 27 clubs. At that time, it was announced that clubs from the Caribbean sub-region would qualify via the new CONCACAF Caribbean Cup, but specific details were not revealed. Further details were announced in June 2022.
Cupa Caraibelor CFU este un turneu internațional de fotbal masculin organizat de Uniunea Caraibelor de Fotbal (CFU). Este cel mai important turneu de fotbal din regiunea Caraibelor și servește drept calificativ pentru Cupa de Aur CONCACAF.
Turneul a fost creat în 1989 și se desfășoară la fiecare doi ani. Acesta reunește echipe naționale din țări și teritorii din Caraibe, inclusiv Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad și Tobago, Haiti și Surinam.
Formatul turneului variază, dar de obicei este jucat într-o etapă de grupă urmată de o etapă eliminatorie. Campioana primește Trofeul Cupei Caraibelor și se califică pentru Cupa de Aur CONCACAF.
Cupa Caraibelor CFU este un eveniment important în calendarul fotbalistic din Caraibe, oferind echipelor oportunitatea de a concura la cel mai înalt nivel și de a se califica pentru turnee internaționale mai mari.
