Wikipedia - Liga Nacional de Básquetbol (Paraguay)

The Liga Nacional de Básquetbol is the top-tier level of the Paraguayan basketball league system. As of 2023, 8 teams are participating in the league. The yearly winners of this league are considered the Paraguayan basketball champions. Because of this, the champion gets the right to play in the Liga Sudamericana de Baloncesto.

History

Amidst the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced that the Liga Nacional would return on 22 July 2020. Basket Paraguayo informed that all games would be played at the Polideportivo at the Secretaria Nacional de Deportes.

Paraguay - Primera este o ligă profesionistă de baschet din Paraguay, care reprezintă cel mai înalt nivel de competiție baschetbalistică din țară. Liga a fost fondată în 1936 și este organizată de Federația Paraguayană de Baschet (FPP).

Paraguay - Primera se dispută în prezent cu opt echipe, care joacă un sezon regulat în sistem turneu, urmat de un play-off pentru determinarea campioanei. Echipa câștigătoare a play-off-ului este declarată campioană a Paraguayului și se califică la Liga Sudamericană de Baschet.

Unele dintre cele mai importante echipe din Paraguay - Primera includ Club Olimpia, Club Libertad, Club Cerro Porteño și Club San José. Liga a produs jucători de baschet notabili, precum Javier Martínez, Guillermo Araújo și Paola Ferrari.

Paraguay - Primera este o ligă competitivă, cu un nivel ridicat de baschet. Echipele participante luptă pentru a câștiga campionatul și a reprezenta Paraguay în competițiile internaționale.
