Scheveningse Voetbal Vereniging Scheveningen is an association football club from Scheveningen, a district of The Hague, Netherlands. The club was founded 1 July 1919. It is currently playing in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of football in the Netherlands.

They play at the Houtrust Scheveningen.

History

Between 1954 and 1971 the club played professional football under the names SHS and Holland Sport.

The club was selected by the French sports newspaper L'Équipe to participate in 1955–56 European Cup, but declined to do so.

The biggest success in the club's history was the overall amateur title in 1996. Martin Jol was the team manager at that time.

Scheveningen, echipă de fotbal din Țările de Jos, fondată în 1919, își are sediul în orașul cu același nume. Clubul joacă meciurile de acasă pe stadionul Houtrust, cu o capacitate de 3.250 de spectatori. Scheveningen evoluează în prezent în Eerste Divisie, al doilea eșalon al fotbalului olandez.

În istoria sa, Scheveningen a câștigat o dată Cupa Olandei, în 1957, și a fost finalistă de două ori în 1929 și 1962. Clubul a participat la Cupa Intertoto în anii 1969, 1973 și 1974.

Scheveningen este cunoscut pentru stilul său ofensiv de joc și pentru contribuția sa la dezvoltarea tinerilor jucători. Clubul are o academie de tineret recunoscută, producând jucători talentați precum Arjan Robben, Rafael van der Vaart și Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Culorile tradiționale ale lui Scheveningen sunt roșul și albul, iar porecla echipei este "Zwarten". Clubul are o bază de fani loială, care creează o atmosferă vibrantă la meciurile de acasă.
