Hershey FC is an American soccer club based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States. The club was founded in 2012 to play in the Keystone Conference of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league at the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid.
The team plays some home games at Hersheypark Stadium. The club colors are navy blue and orange.
History
Hershey FC joined the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), considered the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid and roughly equal to the USL Premier Development League (PDL), to begin play in the 2013 season. The team represents the top level of the Hershey Soccer Club youth soccer organization. The Panthers played their first game on May 11, 2013, defeating FC Reading Revolution 3-1 in an away match. The Panthers would finish in 5th place of the Keystone Conference in their first season.
Hershey FC a fost fondat în 2010 și s-a alăturat NPSL în 2016. În 2019, Hershey FC a câștigat campionatul Keystone Conference și a avansat la playoff-ul NPSL național, unde au pierdut în sferturile de finală.
Hershey FC este deținut de Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company, care deține și operează Hersheypark. Clubul are parteneriate cu mai multe companii locale, inclusiv Hershey Chocolate, Giant Food Stores și Penn State Health.
Stadionul Hersheypark este un stadion multifuncțional care a fost construit în 1939. Stadionul a fost renovat în 2009 și are o capacitate de 16.000 de locuri. În plus față de Hershey FC, stadionul este folosit și de echipa de fotbal Hershey High School Trojans și de echipa de fotbal semi-profesionistă Pennsylvania Stoners.
Hershey FC are o bază puternică de fani în zona Hershey. Clubul are o medie de peste 1.000 de fani la meciurile de acasă și are un grup de fani dedicat numit "Hershey Ultras".
Hershey FC este un club de fotbal important în comunitatea Hershey. Clubul oferă divertisment sportiv rezidenților și vizitatorilor zonei și ajută la stimularea economiei locale.
