Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR FC or APR) is a professional football club from Kigali in Rwanda. The club plays their home games at Amahoro Stadium. The club was founded in June 1993 as the team of the Rwandese Patriotic Front.

History

Despite their short history, they become one of the most successful club in the Rwandan football league winning twenty-two Rwandan league titles and thirteen Rwandan Cups. APR FC also won the CECAFA Clubs Cup in 2004, 2007, and 2010 after ending up as losing finalists in that competition in 1996 and 2000.

In 2022, the club reached the Second Round of the CAF Champions League for the first time in club history.

APR FC (Asociația Patriotică Rwandeză) este un club de fotbal din Kigali, Rwanda. Fondat în 1993, APR FC este cel mai de succes club din Rwanda, câștigând 19 titluri de ligă, 8 Cupe ale Rwandei și 3 Cupe Super ale Rwandei.

Clubul este sponsorizat de Armata Rwandeză de Apărare Patriotică și este cunoscut pentru susținerea sa puternică din partea fanilor. Stadionul Nyamirambo din Kigali este terenul de acasă al APR FC.

Unii dintre cei mai notabili jucători care au jucat pentru APR FC includ Mbuyu Twite, Olivier Karekezi și Haruna Niyonzima. Clubul a participat în mod regulat în competiții continentale, inclusiv Liga Campionilor CAF și Cupa Confederațiilor CAF.

APR FC este cunoscut pentru stilul său de joc defensiv și pentru capacitatea sa de a obține rezultate pozitive în ciuda resurselor limitate. Clubul este un simbol al unității și patriotismului național în Rwanda.
